CIDAR Undergraduates Awarded UROP Funding

Members of the BU iGEM team have received funding through the BU Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP) to attend the 2013 iGEM competition, where they will present their project and compete with teams from all over North America.

UROP has also awarded funding for Audrey Lewis and Rahul Veetekat, who recently joined CIDAR as undergraduate researchers. Audrey will be continuing her work on the development of the Eugene language with CIDAR post-doc Ernst Oberortner, and Rahul will be collaborating with our wetlab team to help develop and characterize our growing library of standardized biological parts, focusing on the construction of biological inverter circuits.
